Redress Decisions

Decisions for requests for redress

Redress Given – Average Points (Race Before Last Day of Series)

Wording

Redress is given to Y. Y is to be scored in race [##] points equal to the average, rounded to the nearest tenth of a point (0.05 to be rounded upward), of her points in all races sailed before the last scheduled day of the regatta if racing is later scheduled on that day, except race [##]. No other boat's score shall change.

Applicable scenarios

  • Redress given using average points from all races before the last scheduled day of the series
  • score rounded to nearest tenth (0.05 up)

Notes

  • If the boat has a finishing position in the race in question, her score can never be worse than that. In that case add (at the end of the second-to-last sentence): but not worse than [##] (her finishing position in the race).
