Part 2 Preamble – No Injury/Damage/Interference (RRS 23.1)

Wording

Since X was not racing but was sailing [in or near] the racing area and [intended to race] [had been racing], and [there was no injury or serious damage], and [there was injury or serious damage but RRS 14 was not broken] and [she did not interfere with a boat that was racing], the preamble to RRS Part 2 applies and X shall not be penalized.

Applicable scenarios

  • Boat not racing – Part 2 preamble applies no penalty
