Invalid Requests

A request for redress is invalid if it does not comply with rule 61.2.

Invalid Request for Redress – Not in Writing or Missing Reasons (61.2(a))
The request for redress [was not in writing] [and] [did not identify the reasons for making it], as required by RRS 61.2(a). Therefore the request for redress is invalid under RRS 61.3.
Redress Validity – Good Reason to Extend or Not (add-on)
[There was no good reason for the PC to extend the time.] [However, there was good reason for the PC to extend the time limit.] Therefore the request for redress is [valid] [invalid] under RRS 61.3.
Request for Redress Validity – Late for Racing Area Incident (61.2(b)(1))
Y failed to deliver the request for redress within [the protest time limit] [two hours after the incident], as required by RRS 61.2(b)(1). [There was no good reason for the PC to extend the time.] [However, there was good reason for the PC to extend the time limit.] Therefore the request for redress is [valid] [invalid] under RRS 61.3.
Request for Redress Validity – Late on Last Day (61.2(b)(2))
Y failed to deliver the request for redress based on a PC decision within 30 minutes after the decision was posted, as required by RRS 61.2(b)(2). [There was no good reason for the PC to extend the time] [However, there was good reason for the PC to extend the time limit.] Therefore the request for redress is [valid] [invalid] under RRS 61.3.
